Man! This is so neat!
A little while back, I got an email from the THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS guys with the coolest idea! They wanted to see if I’d be down to contribute a close up photo of my face for one of the 2000 album covers for their new record!
But wait – that wasn’t even the coolest thing about this…
Check this out… Here’s part of the email I got with the concept:
2000 different album covers.
Most of the covers will be photos of fans, but included will be faces of family, friends, artists and other interesting people that we love, admire or find inspiring.
There will be as few as 20 to 50 covers of each made with many becoming collector’s items. There will be a website created where people can find their covers and trade for them or seek out covers of interest.
Nothing has ever been done like this before and certainly won’t be again.
How rad is it that a majority of the photos are of fans of the band!! I thought that was the coolest thing on the planet! Hope you guys dig the new album!!
