Belle is beautiful but she’s probably one of the more realistic looking Disney women. Unlike the impossibly waifish Ariel or Jasmine who has no freaking stomach.

Unfortunatly, Shrek is a comedy. The whole point of that movie was to make people laugh, not have any emotional impact at all. Disney in the early 90s did not so much make people laugh, but tell a classic story with most of its emotional glory. Shrek is not a good expample of films teaching lessons. Shrek did not display as much quality as the Disneys, and the overal concept is stupid. With my knowledge of moive magic, I know that Shrek ended an era…
