<p>I&#8217;m an introvert. It doesn&#8217;t mean that I&#8217;m not social, or that I&#8217;m shy, or that I&#8217;m afraid of people.</p>
<p>I love to socialize- but my preferred method of socializing is in smaller, more intimate settings. I like one-on-one conversation, and getting to know people well (essential, may I point out, if you want to be alone with a woman).</p>
<p>In fact, I don&#8217;t think extroverts have an advantage over me at all. Sure, extroverts are lots of fun to hang out with large groups. But for many of them, when you get them one-on-one, can&#8217;t even carry a conversation. They need that &#8220;group vibe,&#8221; just like I love my time with just one other person.</p>
<p>A lot of coaches that offer dating tips for men nevertheless seem to imply that you need to be extroverted in order to be successful with women.</p>
<p>Here some dating tips for men who are introverts who intend on staying introverted.</p>
<p><b>Dating tip for men #1: Focus on the nonverbal. </b></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the issue. Women size men up quickly. They don&#8217;t have time to wait three dates to discover who you are, or what you have offer. Dating requires that you express is many things about you as you can in a very short amount of time.</p>
<p>For extroverts, this is easy. They can express everything about themselves verbally in a smooth, calibrated way. If you are not a talker, you need to figure out other ways of expressing yourself.</p>
<p>This could mean putting a lot of thought into what you&#8217;re wearing.</p>
<p>It also means finding a group of friends that make you look good. If you are seen with friends who appear interesting or high status, women will assume that you are also high status.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m in a rock band. Not only does is give me social proof, but the band members hold me in very high regard and say nothing but good things about me. When I am with them, I can attract women without saying a word.</p>
<p>You may not be musical, surely you are passionate. Find other people who share your interests (preferably interests that other women find intriguing, i.e. visual arts, athletics, outdoor activities&#8230; basically ANYTHING but World of Warcraft) become a master at them and earn recognition.</p>
<p>It also helps if you are seen with other women. When women see with other women, they see you as non-threatening&#8211; yet also of value because you are pre-selected. This will ultimately lead to attraction.</p>
<p><b>Dating Tip For Men #2: Get an online dating profile.</b></p>
<p>Remember when I said earlier that you need to express as much as you can (smoothly) in as little time as possible? Enter the online dating profile, which allows you to present an entire essay about you to women all over the Internet!</p>
<p>And as an introvert, I&#8217;m a pretty good writer. I&#8217;ve tweaked my online dating profile so much, that I now have women contacting me.</p>
<p>Best of all, online dating allows me to skip having to go out and meet people. I don&#8217;t have to deal with pickup lines, and jealous girlfriends, and alpha male douche bag guys to compete with me. I enjoy going out, but sometimes, I just want to go straight to the date. Online dating offers a great backup plan.</p>
<p><b>Dating Tip For Men #3: Make slow, calculated moves.</b></p>
<p>If you want to go out and meet women in a bar, club, or bookstore that&#8217;s fine! But I don&#8217;t recommend being someone who you&#8217;re not. Many dating tips for men focus on being loud and crazy.</p>
<p>But there are plenty of very attractive men out there who are not this way. Consider James Bond. Would he go out and use some cheesy pickup line? No, but he would have the courage to walk up and talk to a woman.</p>
<p>Model yourself after introverted men who are successful with women. Surround yourself with friends that make you look intriguing, and make a bold, calculated move. Perhaps slow your body language down and tell her that she&#8217;s stunning.</p>
<p>I will part with one last dating tip for men: As an introvert, do not identify yourself as the &#8220;shy guy.&#8221; Identify yourself as the master.</p>

<p>Do you want to change your body shape? Maybe you want to lose weight or develop more muscle mass? Maybe you&#8217;d like both. Whatever your goal, all bodybuilding or weight loss programs are going to take time, so a great way to start is by drawing up a fitness plan.</p>
<p>1. Set a healthy and achievable target weight with a shape-up routine that can be easily maintained.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t aim for an unrealistic or unhealthy body shape. Severely underweight people are certainly not healthy. At the other end of the scale, even the most shredded muscular physique cannot be maintained indefinitely.</p>
<p>2. Use body fat calipers to work out your fat and lean body mass ratio or perhaps ask your gym to measure you.</p>
<p>A great way to get your exercise program off on the right foot is to get a set of body fat calipers. This instrument measures your body fat and lean muscle mass ratio. It is important to have an accurate measurement of your fat / lean muscle ratio from the very beginning of your program, rather than relying on the bathroom scales.</p>
<p>Scales are inaccurate because they do not let you know if you have replaced body fat with lean muscle. They give you the same reading regardless of dramatic changes in your body. You may have reduced body fat but replaced that weight with lean muscle. Unfortunately, your bathroom scales are unable to detect that difference. If you attend a gym you could ask them to do this measurement for you, as they will have the correct instruments. When you are training you need motivators to keep you on course. body fat calipers allow you to see any results immediately helping you stay on track.</p>
<p>Check your progress on a monthly basis. This will allow you to see any changes and plot progress. Don&#8217;t check yourself any more than this as there are natural changes in the body throughout a period of a month, depending on whether you are retaining water, perhaps from food you have eaten. It is best for females to check themselves after their period has finished due to water retention. Try to stick to the same part of the month when you record your fat/lean muscle mass ratio.</p>
<p>3. Measure four folds of skin with your body fat calipers and work out your body fat/lean muscle percentage by using the table provided with them.</p>
<p>Body fat calipers measure the thickness of a fold of skin. There are 4 places on the body where a measurement should be taken, because of where these places are someone else can help you do this. They are,</p>
<p>Â· Centre of the back of arm (the triceps)</p>
<p>Â· Centre of the front of arm (the bicep)</p>
<p>Â· The back, just below the shoulder blade at a 45% angle.</p>
<p>Â· The waistline between the hipbone and the naval horizontally.</p>
<p>By recording your fat/lean muscle ratio regularly you can see positive changes in your body that you wouldn&#8217;t normally be seen with a set of weighing scales.</p>
<p>4. Work out a diet plan. Remember, you don&#8217;t have to starve, just eat the right foods.</p>
<p>5. Work out an exercise routine incorporating stretches, a cardiovascular routine and weight training for all the muscles.</p>
<p>6. Check your improvements on a monthly basis, no more than this. It will encourage you on when you start to lose heart or waver.</p>
<p>7. Stick to it, even if you have a bad few days just start again and you&#8217;ll soon be looking and feeling fantastic.</p>

<p>The Mediterranean diet has many health benefits. Wondering researchers have spent years trying to discover why. Although many regions have adopted a much more westernized diet habit which has resulted in a mounting obesity issue, communities that still follow the traditional Mediterranean diet continue to experience health which is the envy of the western world.</p>
<p>The Mediterranean diet consists primarily of fresh, healthy plant food like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, olives, fish and seafood. They combine this with reduced amounts of red meat and dairy products.</p>
<p>The Mediterranean diet is more nutritious because foods are less processed. Processing food, and even cooking it, deprives it of nutrients. But in a traditional Mediterranean diet, most foods are eaten raw or lightly cooked. When red meat is served it is usually trimmed of excess fat. The overall diet provides plentiful fiber, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, protein and essential fatty acids required by the body to maintain health and prevent chronic illnesses like heart disease and cancer.</p>
<p>Another notable aspect of the traditional Mediterranean diet is that not every meal contains animal flesh (i.e. meat or fish). There are commonly days with no animal flesh being consumed at all. On these days, the protein portion of the meal is derived from things like beans, nuts, seeds and eggs. Although eggs are still animal products, recent research indicates that eggs do NOT increase blood cholesterol as scientists and doctors used to believe. Another modern day alternative to meat is tofu which comes from soy beans. While this is not a part of the diet, it would certainly be a worthwhile addition to it.</p>
<p>All of these things result in the Mediterranean diet being high in monounsaturated fatty acids, otherwise known as M.U.F.As which are healthy fats. Diets containing M.U.F.As (and polyunsaturated fats, or P.U.F.As) rather than saturated and trans fats, tend to provide certain health benefits including reduced risk of:</p>

<p>Lets take a closer look at these.</p>
<p><u><em><strong>Reduced risk of heart disease and high Cholesterol</strong></em></u></p>
<p>High levels of saturated fats result in increased cholesterol in the bloodstream. Over time, the cholesterol attaches to the walls of arteries causing a narrowing of the arteries that can lead to blockages, heart attacks and heart disease. Quite clearly, the reduced amount of saturated fat in traditional Mediterranean diets results in lower cholesterol levels. In some cases, high cholesterol is hereditary and is caused by the liver producing too much. A healthy diet containing high amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids is proven to actively combat this issue and can have a significant lowering effect on cholesterol levels.</p>
<p><u><em><strong>Reduced risk of Stroke</strong></em></u></p>
<p>A Columbia University Medical Center study in which researchers followed 712 participants over a six year period discovered that participants who followed a moderate Mediterranean diet were 21% less likely to experience a stroke. Participants who followed a strict diet were 36% less likely to experience a stroke.</p>
<p><u><em><strong>Reduced risk of cancer</strong></em></u></p>
<p>According to a study by the Department of Clinical Sciences, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain: &#8220;There is a &#8216;probable&#8217; protective role of the Mediterranean diet toward cancer in general.&#8221; A National Cancer institute study of 500,000 people found that people who consumed more than 4 oz (113g) of red meat daily were 30% more likely to die from ANY cause over 10 years than those who consumed less. Sausages and processed meats increased the risk even more.</p>

<p>Some studies indicate that people who adhere to the Mediterranean diet have lower rates of Parkinson&#8217;s and Alzheimer&#8217;s diseases. Researchers are unsure why this is the case but they believe that healthy food choices improving cholesterol, blood sugar levels and blood vessel health may be the cause.</p>

<p>British Researchers studied depression and diet in more than 3,000 middle-aged office workers for five years. Their findings indicated that people who ate a diet high in processed meat, chocolate, sugar, fried food, refined cereals and high-fat dairy products were more likely to suffer depression. But people who ate a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and fish similar to a Mediterranean diet were less likely to suffer depression. Their findings support other research that has found that healthy diets can protect against disease.</p>
<p><u><em><strong>Reduced risk of Metabolic syndrome</strong></em></u></p>
<p>Many overweight and obese people suffer from a condition called Metabolic Syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a group of conditions &#8211; high blood pressure, a abnormal blood sugar levels, excessive body fat around the waist or abnormal cholesterol levels &#8211; that occur together. These increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. People on the Mediterranean diet have been found to be less likely to be overweight, thus reducing incidence of this condition.</p>
<p>So, as you can see, adopting a traditional Mediterranean diet has many worthwhile health benefits. It has even been found to reverse many chronic diseases such as type II diabetes, high blood pressure, angina and even improving mobility in people who suffer from arthritis.
